Isn’t she beautiful?!!! I know what you’re thinking, Natalie, what in the world will you do to help a BRAND-NEW, AMAZING HOME? I think we generally associate staging with older homes needing a “face-lift”, but not true.
Any home no matter the age, location or price point can benefit from home staging!
This was definitely the case for #20 Lone Star Parkway. Jay clearly made our job easier with all the incredible finishes and details he put in this home, but those finishes and details were more like extras in a movie, not the shining stars they were meant to be…that’s where reDesign Inc. came in!

The gorgeous living room with the warm wood floors, amazing windows and fireplace calls your name as you enter the home, but looking at the before picture from the builder’s website you are more likely to notice the dust on the floors than the unique niche that runs around the room. Seriously people this fireplace is HUGE!!! They do say everything is bigger in Texas, and being on Lone Star Parkway this home definitely lives up to that!
Man don’t you wanna curl up on that chair with the fuzzy blanket and light a fire in the Texas-sized fireplace? You can see the warmth of the floors, the beautiful windows, and those awesome built-ins now that they are highlighted by the furnishings brought into the room. They are no longer in the background, the details are brought to the forefront, exactly what we want potential buyers to see.

While this picture does show some great workmanship done by our builder, it is still missing a lot of detail that was provided in the final product. Also, it isn’t showcasing the granite countertops which are a must have for many buyers in this particular price range.
Since the before picture of the kitchen was taken more great finishes had been added, such as the pendant lights and the faucet. Plus in these new pics we wanted show off those countertops. I believe we accomplished just that by adding some accessories and staging the bar area. Could you even tell the size of the bar before? I couldn’t. You seriously could feed an army with all the dining space in this house folks! Speaking of dining space…now on to the dining area.
Something you never want for your potential buyer to do while browsing through houses online (remember 90% of people check it out online before thinking of coming through those doors) is to have to guess at what rooms are. This is a very common problem which has an easy fix. What is that? You guessed it…STAGE IT!
Now this space is easily defined, no guessing here! For this size room I like to use a six chair dining table to show the buyer there is of plenty room for it, and more if needed. Ok, side note…this is table that we reDesign’ed (gotta love gel stain and chalk paint), you can read all about it HERE!

Another bit of Guess Who? for our buyers. One thing you don’t have to guess…if this room is spectacular–Uhhh YES!!
But, is it just a bit more spectacular now with its new outfit and jewelry–Uhhh YES again!! Nothing like a great outfit and accessories to make a girl feel good, and c’mon a house is no different!

Another selling point of that amazing master suite…the bathroom! But, you may be staring at the tools used to make the bathroom so great, instead of the bathroom itself.
No brooms or grout buckets here, only a HUGE jetted soaker tub (seriously folks I am pretty sure your kids could do laps in this thing), beautiful custom tiled shower and a spacious double sink vanity for all your loved one’s junk…certainly NOT yours! We added some artwork above the bath to help bring the buyer’s eye to the area. A little greenery, a white bath rug and some linens finish off the space.
Crazy thing guys, not just one incredible bath in this home…there are two! Not much needed for this main bath. We came in, cleaned up, added some linens and topped it off with bright white rug and shower curtain to give it a homey feel.
We will finish off our tour pretty much where we began, at the star…the front door of course. How fitting for #20 Lone Star Parkway to have a Lone Star door? Love it! The entryway was bare when we first came to the property, but we added a few art pieces, a mirror, some accessories and a small chest perfect for throwing some new house keys perhaps.
I hope you can see that staging isn’t just for existing homes, it is an asset for any house! We have taken this property from a building site and transformed it into someone’s home. Speaking of, that lucky person could be you! Contact Jay at Lone Star Custom Homes.
Thanks for checking us out!
