Staging simply put is allowing your house to have its best foot forward. You want your buyers to see the potential in your house so they can picture it being their home. Statistics show that staged homes sell 73% faster (RESA 2013 Study), less time on market means more money for you! Not only do they sell faster, but typically for more money.
So what does this mean exactly? Well if you are a fan of HGTV, DIY Network, or any other of the many home decorating network channels you may say just slapping paint on the walls and cleaning up. No! Staging is more than that. We want your house to be at its best! Yes, this does sometimes mean painting and cleaning, decluttering and depersonalization of the space, but it may also mean changing furniture, layout of the rooms, adding lighting to help high light areas, ensuring the maintenance of your house is tip-top to let the buyer know your sweet dwelling has been loved and cared for. We want the buyer not to walk thru your house adding up the costs of things needing to be done, changed, fixed, etc because those dollars come from your pocket!
