First impressions matter. I am sure you are aware of this in the realm of dating and job interviews, but this is true for a home as well!

There is a shift happening in the real estate industry and our world as we know it. The days of the real estate drive by (newspaper in hand, not a gun haha) are long gone. We are functioning more online now than ever! 90% of buyers are going on the web before they ever step foot into a home. Furthermore, a recent study has shown homebuyers are spending about 60% of their time looking at photos while viewing a listing online, (source: The Wall Street Journal – Real Estate)

Side-note, f you are a real estate agent please know I have the upmost respect for you and your job. I can appreciate that in your business you have to wear many hats, but is being a photographer really one that best serves your time? Time is money. Also, do you have the best equipment for the job? A point-and-shoot or iPhone are not the answer here. You want to present your client in the best light, literally–haha.

I took my first course in photography about five years ago to better understand the basics of a D-SLR: lighting, aperture, shutter speeds, etc. This past year I was able to be a part of a real estate photography class which meshes two of my favorite things together. I am so excited to bring my passion to the four states area and help your listing stand out!
